Shaq is a certified law enforcement officer who has devoted countless hours of training and investigation to track down child predators over the Internet. Shaq is a businessman who, in the 1990's, spearheaded the creation of an affordable athletic shoe endorsed by a superstar. His Dunkman brand shoes sold more than six million pairs last year, and the price of his shoes remains less than $50. Shaq is also a philanthropist who has contributed to many causes and charitable organizations around the country, including the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts, among others.
In 2006, Shaq turned his attention to childhood obesity. And this year, he chose six overweight kids and committed to helping them lose weight, get healthy, and change their lives. The result is the TV show Shaq's Big Challenge and the online program Shaq's Family Challenge!
